Agenda

  • A round up of legislation and changes affecting employee benefits
    • Pensions and the ageing workforce
    • Healthcare - increasing numbers of employees have a long term health condition. How does this impact the benefits you offer?
    • Pay equality
    • The changing face of claims and record keeping for HR benefit teams
  • Local Benefit arrangements vs. International Benefit arrangements - the pros and cons of each
  • Brexit. What is happening, the impact upon the UK and what it might mean for you?
  • A spotlight on wellbeing in the workplace and mental health. There is a focus on global mental health. Recent reports reveal that:
    • One in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives (1)
    • An estimated 268 million people worldwide suffer from depression (2)
    • Mental health and behavioural problems (e.g. depression, anxiety and drug use) are reported to be the primary drivers of disability worldwide, causing over 40 million years of disability in 20 to 29-year-olds (3)

There is a growing movement at a government level to break the stigma and put mental wellbeing firmly on the corporate agenda. But, what does this mean for you? What duty of care and legal responsibility do you have? And how can you support your teams with effective mental health strategies and tools?
